DARE TO FIGURE IT OUT

DARE TO FIGURE IT OUT

Dear Reader,

There is a quiet ache in my heart for those who feel stuck in life, unseen in crowded spaces, shrinking within themselves, waiting for help that never seems to come.

If you have ever stood in a moment where you stretched your hands for support and none arrived, then you may understand the painful, but powerful, lessons hidden in certain seasons of life.

I once saw a short clip that captured this truth in a very simple but powerful way. A father and his little boy were walking together when they suddenly encountered a rope stretched across the path they needed to follow.

Without hesitation, the father simply stepped over the rope and moved a few steps ahead, leaving the boy behind.

The little boy approached the rope with the confidence of a child who believed his father would always lift him when the path became difficult. But the rope proved more challenging than he expected.

He tried to cross it and got stuck. He tried again and struggled even more. Soon, he began stretching out his hands toward his father, expecting to be carried over the obstacle.

But the father did not come.

The boy stretched his hands again and again, calling for help. When the response he expected did not come, his face changed. His voice trembled. And then he began to cry.

Watching that moment broke my heart. I remember feeling deeply disappointed in the father. It felt harsh. It felt unnecessary. A part of me wanted the father to simply walk back, lift the rope, carry the boy across, and end the struggle.

But the father remained where he was, close enough to watch, yet far enough to allow the process.

Instead of removing the obstacle, he kept observing the child to find his way through.

After several attempts, something remarkable happened. The boy began to adjust his approach. First he tried jumping like his dad over it but he couldn’t.

He began to look for what will work for him. Carefully and patiently, he started lifting the rope over his head bit by bit, maneuvering his way until he finally stepped through to the other side.

The moment the father saw that his son had figured it out, he immediately walked toward him, celebrated him with joy, and carried him with pride.

It was only then that the entire moment became clear to me.

What first appeared like neglect was actually intentional empowerment. The father understood something the child had not yet learned: if he overcame this challenge himself, he would become wiser, stronger, and more prepared for the obstacles that lay ahead.

Life often mirrors this same pattern.

There are moments when heaven seems quiet, when help does not arrive as quickly as we hoped, and when solutions are not handed to us the way we expect. In those moments, it is easy to assume we have been forgotten.

But those moments are rarely designed to destroy us.

They are invitations.

Invitations to grow.

Invitations to stretch beyond our present capacity.

Invitations to discover strength we did not know we carried.

The apostle Paul explains this beautifully in Book of Romans 5:3–4 when he teaches that tribulation produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope. Pressure, when embraced properly, expands capacity.

Certain problems do not come to break us; they come to call forth the better version of us, the version that thinks deeper, grows wiser, and learns to stand even when constant rescue is absent.

Many people remain trapped not because solutions do not exist, but because they are waiting endlessly for someone else to fix what life is inviting them to confront.

Growth rarely happens where every obstacle is removed. It happens when we lean into challenges and allow the process to shape us. Our becoming is often tied to facing situations that initially feel unbecoming.

Even the psalmist acknowledged this divine pattern in Book of Psalms 119:71 when he declared that affliction itself became a teacher. What once felt like hardship eventually revealed itself as instruction. What once appeared like abandonment turned out to be preparation.

So if you find yourself in a season where you feel unseen, unsupported, or left to navigate uncertain terrain on your own, do not rush to interpret it as rejection.

It may simply be training.

There are strengths within you that can only emerge when you confront certain obstacles personally. There is wisdom that only struggle can awaken. And there is confidence that only experience can build.

Do not be afraid of the rope in your path.

Lift it.

Adjust it.

Try again.

And again.

And again.

Because when you finally cross to the other side, you will realize that you did not merely survive the obstacle, you were transformed by it.

So today, with courage in your heart and faith in God’s wisdom guiding your steps, take the step many people hesitate to take.

Go ahead… figure it out.

THE HIDDEN KEY TO ACCELERATED GROWTH Dear Reader, A young man lingered where others hurried past, the tent where God met with a leader. He wasn’t in a rush to be seen; he was hungry to become. That young man was Joshua, and the leader he stayed with was Moses. Joshua’s rise did not begin on a battlefield, it began in proximity, in observation, in quiet alignment. By the time leadership found him, he had already been shaped for it. The Hidden Key to Accelerated Growth is not louder effort, it...

THE POWER OF AWARENESS Dear Reader, A young shepherd stood before a giant that had silenced a nation. The armies of Israel saw a problem too big to confront, but David saw something else. He did not ask for a new weapon. He did not wait for fresh power to descend. He spoke from an awareness others lacked: “The Lord who delivered me before will deliver me again.” Same battlefield. Same enemy. Different awareness, and the outcome shifted. Your biggest limitation is not power…it is awareness....

THE MINDSET THAT THRIVES IN HARD TIMES Dear Reader, Nigeria is not hiding its pain right now. Prices are rising, the naira is under pressure, and many people are doing more just to stay afloat. The weight is real. But here is a truth you must hold tightly: hardship is real, but recession in your mind is a choice. In the same economy where some are shutting down, others are rising. Not because they are exempted from the pressure, but because they are positioned differently. They have refused...
